Qualifications

  • Four-year accredited engineering degree required (AE, ME or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings.
  • Familiarity with industry specifications and engineering procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop repair instructions in accordance with engineering procedures and industry specifications.
  • Develop substantiating technical data per procedures and regulations.
  • Use measuring tools and gages to reverse engineer parts.
  • Use XRF Gun and hardness tester to determine alloy and hardness.
  • Create drawings and figures for repair instructions.
  • Substantiate and document equivalencies for tools, equipment, materials and processes.
  • Communicate with customers to determine needs and design repair solutions.
  • Coordinate with DERs and the FAA to obtain approvals for major repairs.
