Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation in Georgia is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to perform thermal coating processes for gas turbine components. You will work on pack aluminide coatings, surface prep, inspection, and documentation, while maintaining safety and high quality standards.

The role requires reading instructions, working with blueprints, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. The shift is overnight with a rotating 12-hour schedule and a $3.00/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Clear English communication in reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints and specs.
• Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, multiplications).
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely operate coating equipment.
• Team oriented with focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pack aluminide coating processes including A12 retort packing and A12 furnace loading.
• Apply spray coatings and perform abrasive blasting per instructions and specs.
• Monitor coating application to meet quality requirements.
• Conduct additional processing tasks: assembly, disassembly, tumbling, peening, masking.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect and certify work using measuring tools; record quality data.
• Follow safety rules, PPE, and quality standards; maintain clean workspace.
• Support 5S, CPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives.
