Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to perform thermal coating processes for pack aluminide coatings on gas turbine engine components. You will work in a team to support manufacturing and repair of aerospace parts through coating application, surface preparation, inspection, and documentation while upholding high quality and safety standards.

The role operates an overnight schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a three-on/three-off pattern and a $3.00/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform pack aluminide coating processes, including A12 retort packing and A12 furnace loading.
• Apply spray coatings and perform abrasive blasting per work instructions and customer specs.
• Monitor coating application and adherence to ensure quality requirements.
• Perform processing tasks such as assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumbling, blending, peening, grit blasting, and masking/preparation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Inspect and certify your own work using measuring and inspection tools.
• Complete required quality documentation and production records.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
• Support 5S, CPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
