Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Bay Shore, NY. The role focuses on developing, testing, and optimizing CNC milling programs to manufacture precision components in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve machining efficiency, ensure dimensional accuracy, and uphold safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or manufacturing tech.
• 5+ years CNC programming experience.
• Strong CAD and CNC programming proficiency.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs for milling operations.
• Program custom components and tooling for production applications.
• Develop machining methods and tooling strategies.
• Set up and support CNC milling machines during production.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate CNC programs on production equipment.
• Modify programs to reflect engineering changes and product revisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining efficiency.
• Maintain programming documentation and revision control.
• Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
• Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.
