Job summary

Belcan is seeking a skilled CNC programmer to develop, write, and optimize programs for Haas Mill and Lathe machines used in aerospace components and tooling.

You will interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD models, and Mastercam specifications, select tools and strategies, set up and prove out programs, and troubleshoot to improve cycle times while ensuring quality and safety. Collaboration with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel is essential.

Qualifications

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for Haas Mill and Lathe machines to manufacture precision aerospace components and tooling.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD models, and Mastercam technical knowledge and specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, work holding, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
• Set up and prove out CNC programs, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize cycle times.
• Manufacture prototypes, R&D, production, and rework parts to meet engineering requirements.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling documentation, and revision control.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, reduce scraps, lower costs, and improve delivery performance.
