Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Michigan seeks a skilled CNC programmer to design multi-axis tooling programs for aerospace components, using CATIA, ENOVIA, and CAD/CAM tools while applying GD&T and quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and inspection to drive process excellence.

The role requires TE BIS experience, strong problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. On-site in Michigan with ITAR compliance and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience using TEBIS a plus.
• Experience in CATIA and ENOVIA.
• Minimum 3 years of writing multi-axis CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software.
• Five years’ experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Engineering / Manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create multi-axis machine programs from customer supplied part models and specifications.
• Post process programs and verify completed programs.
• Generate machine set-up sheets and incorporate into shop planning.
• Generate fixture and shop aid information for set-ups.
• Interface with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection.
• Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
