Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mastercam Programmer for a first-shift contract-to-hire role in Wheeling, IL. You will program 3- and 5-axis milling operations on state-of-the-art CNC machines using Mastercam 2022 or NX 2206, with aerospace tooling and small-run production in focus.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong GD&T skills, and the ability to optimize tools, speeds, and feeds for exotic materials

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC programming experience with Mastercam or NX for milling.
• Ability to program 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Read blueprints and GD&T for tight aerospace tolerances.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code in CNC programs.
• Experience with exotic materials and appropriate speeds/feeds.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC milling machines (3-axis/5-axis) using Mastercam 2022 or NX 2206+.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Create tool sheets and setup instructions for operators.
• Develop macro programs for Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain controls.
• Collaborate with engineers/operators to optimize machining strategies.
• Maintain documentation of programs, tool lists, and setups.
