Job summary

Responsibilities include documenting shop floor processes, supporting lean initiatives, and collaborating with customers to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Must be accustomed to deadlines and accountability.
• Experience with complex aerospace parts including milling and turning processes.
• Unigraphics NX experience.
• Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Effective time management skills including multi-tasking.
• Ability to read blueprints. Speak and write reports in English.
• High attention to detail.
• Develop and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ability to create and evaluate and improve existing CNC programs for vertical and horizontal lathes, and multi-axis (4-5 axis) milling machines.
• Solid understanding of feeds and speeds for aerospace materials.
• Be a team player for all lean activities continuous improvement projects.
• Tool selection and process layout on a consistent basis, working with customers to ensure work can be accomplished.
• Create shop floor documentation including operation sheets and work instructions.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing techniques.
