Job summary

AstroForge in Seal Beach, CA is looking for a CNC Operator to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture high‑precision aerospace components. You will work in a 70+ person startup environment, wearing multiple hats across machining, fabrication, and quality inspection.

Candidate possesses CNC experience for aerospace parts, CAM/CAD familiarity, and ability to read blueprints with strong attention to detail. Evening/night and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating CNC machines for aerospace/high‑precision components preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with CAM software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines for aerospace components.
• Read blueprints, sketches, CAD/CAM files and determine dimensions and setup.
• Work with materials like aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites to ensure surface finish and accuracy.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and workpieces; adjust feeds, speeds, and depths.
• Monitor machine operation and detect malfunctions; perform adjustments as needed.
• Conduct in-process inspections and first article verifications with precision instruments.
