Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a CNC Operator for the 2nd shift in Long Beach, CA to support aerospace component manufacturing. The role involves operating multiple CNC mills (3-axis and 5-axis), handling large parts, and ensuring part verification to meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of CNC mill experience, familiarity with hard metals, and proficiency with micrometers/calipers. Onsite work in Long Beach is required and overtime on Fridays is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating a CNC mill.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC mills and FANUC controls preferred.
• Experience with large parts and hard metals.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling work centers to support production.
• Ensure milling cycles proceed to cut aluminum, titanium, Inconel, or steel.
• Assist with setup of raw material and load large parts into machines.
• Remove finished parts to maximize CNC production hours.
• Use micrometers/calipers to verify dimensions and tool life.
• Maintain 6S practices; keep machines clean and organized.
• Log usage in ERP and report improvement opportunities.
