Job summary

PPG in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring an Aerospace CNC Production Operator for a second shift (1:30 PM–10:00 PM). Pay rate is $31.75 per hour. The role requires 3+ years of CNC machining experience, with strong 5-axis and Zimmermann milling machine exposure.

You will read drawings, write CNC programs, and ensure precision and safety standards across aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large-format or gantry milling systems, GD&T, and precision measurement

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
Experience with 5-axis machining and large-format/gantry machines preferred.
Familiarity with Zimmermann high-speed milling machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and monitor Zimmermann CNC milling systems.
Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.
Write and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for complex parts.
Perform tool changes, offsets, and maintain dimensional accuracy.
Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks with precision tools.
Identify and resolve machine faults and tooling issues.
Coordinate maintenance and maintain production records and logs.
Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards.
