Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to support production, R&D machining and fabrication teams in Hawthorne, CA. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical and controls maintenance for a range of CNC machines including 5-axis gantries and large lathes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair or maintenance.
• Experience with CNC control systems: Siemens 840D, Okuma, Fanuc, Heidenheimer, and Allen Bradley.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all assets to ensure proper operating condition.
• Provide preventative and correct maintenance on CNCs: 5-axis milling, mill-turn, and lathes.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, I/O, and field sensors.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters.
• Repair machine tool mechanical systems: ball screws, linear rails, guideways, gearboxes.
• Drive forklifts and company vehicles.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
