Job summary

Element2 Group is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist for aerospace overhaul and repair work. The role requires hands‑on setup and operation of 5‑axis capable milling equipment, strong blueprint interpretation, and experience working on complex aerospace components.

You will troubleshoot, inspect, and document parts, collaborating with engineering and production teams in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC milling experience.
• Experience setting up CNC milling machines.
• Overhaul / repair (rework) experience strongly preferred.
• Aerospace machining experience required.
• Fluent in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience working with large aerospace parts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines; perform trial runs to verify accuracy.
• Work from travelers, operation sheets, blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and materials.
• Verify finished parts meet specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure proper CNC/DNC program operation and adjust controls as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
• Maintain accountability by properly completing travelers and shop floor documentation.
• Handle components carefully to prevent damage.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.
