Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Winsted, CT, is seeking an Aerospace Machine Operator to join our precision machining team. You will operate CNC grinding and milling equipment, load and unload parts, and monitor performance to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with precision grinding and milling machines.
• CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-axis machining, including 5-axis grinding and 3-axis milling.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC grinding and machining equipment following standard work instructions.
• Load and unload parts while monitoring machine performance.
• Inspect parts using gauges and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with experienced machinists, engineers, quality, and maintenance teams.
