Job summary

Triumph Geared Solutions, based in Park City, UT, is a leading aerospace gear and gearbox supplier. This Machinist role involves operating manual and CNC lathes, reading blueprints, and meeting strict production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have a formal apprenticeship or 2 years’ manufacturing experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently. ITAR compliance and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic Mathematical Skills.
• Mechanical Skills.

• Time Management Skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of technical functions.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate manual and CNC Lathe machines with minimal supervision.
• Read and follow set-up sheets, operation sheets, blueprints, programs and/or drawings.
• Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and offer suggestions on how to resolve machining concerns.
• Use a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measure and reference points.
• Set and use all standard measuring instruments.
• Program, edit and modify programs as needed.
• Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or VIP.
