Job summary

Triumph Group, based in West Hartford, CT, is a leading aerospace systems supplier with about 500 employees. The 2nd shift Machinist performs production using specialized machines, with a strong focus on grinding and assembly, under a bargaining unit contract (UAW).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater; 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hydro-mechanical and electronic manufacturing environment experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a safety-conscious shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform operations related to manufacturing components in multiple cells.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and alert appropriate personnel.
• Regulate machining with instrument controls and maintain tolerances.
• Operate CNC lathe, mill, grinder, and deburring equipment; experience with riveting and bearing swaging/flaring.
• Use blueprints to verify dimensions and tolerances.
