Job summary

Fitfastener is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate HAAS CNC lathes, load and modify Mastercam programs from blueprints, and verify parts meet aerospace specifications. You will set up tooling, manage feeds and speeds, and document setup details for repeatable production.

Responsibilities include measuring finished pieces with calipers and micrometers, performing SPC checks, and performing routine preventive maintenance while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Able to read, comprehend, and execute directions from mechanical drawings.
• Able to measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Operate HAAS CNC lathes and multiple spindle setups as required.
• Write and modify Mastercam programs based on blueprints.
• Make corrections to programs and tooling as needed.
• Perform SPC checks and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces using precision instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and tooling.
• Load, align, and secure tools and work pieces for setup.
• Detect and correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
