Job summary

RTCA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist I-III to join our precision aerospace and defense manufacturing team in Fife, WA. You will set up and operate multiple machines, read complex drawings, verify parts with precision tools, and collaborate across Quality, Engineering and Operations to optimize processes.

Ideal candidates have aerospace manufacturing experience, 4- to 5-axis machining familiarity, and CAM software skills (Mastercam, Fusion 360, ESPRIT).

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments.
• Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining.
• Familiar with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens).
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, ESPRIT.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality standards a plus.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Basic CNC programming or G-code editing skills.
• Experience troubleshooting tooling or process issues.
• Experience mentoring operators or machinists.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiple machines in a high-precision shop.
• Read blueprints, setup sheets, travelers, and engineering drawings.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify part conformance and document results.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations to meet goals.
• Follow safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving.
