Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Edgewood, MD is hiring a CNC Operator to perform precision machining on aerospace-grade materials. You will operate multi-axis CNC mills and industrial saws, set up fixtures and tooling, and read engineering drawings to ensure tight tolerances.

This full-time, third-shift position offers competitive pay ($23.00-$29.00/hr plus $3.00 shift differential) and a benefits package, with opportunities for skill growth and safe, continuous improvement in a high-reliability

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• At least 2 years of CNC experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with three- and five-axis NC machining is preferred.
• Ability to read calipers and micrometers; measure tolerances.
• Strong English reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment and industrial saws to required tolerances.
• Set up machines with fixtures, tooling, and cutting tools.
• Load CNC programs from controllers or databases.
• Read engineering drawings to determine setup and sequencing.
• Maintain product tolerances and inspect part quality.
• Safely operate material handling equipment and keep work area clean.
