Job summary

The Gill Corporation in El Monte, CA is seeking a full-time 2nd shift operator. You will review setup sheets, run CNC programs, shear and form parts to specification, and inspect output for quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Up to 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings with ASME Y14.5 tolerances.
• Understanding CNC programming concepts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 2nd shift.
• English reading and verbal communication sufficient for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews setup sheet and specs to determine setup procedure and dimensions.
• Retrieves programs from shared drive and work order using machine controls.
• Shears and forms parts to specification and checks dimensions.
• Positions material during shear/forming per setup instructions.
• Inspects work piece for conformance to specs and reports discrepancies.
• Assists others to maintain workflow and quality requirements.
• Operates with titanium and aluminum materials; supports production needs.
