Job summary

Archer Aviation, headquartered in Silicon Valley, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to run 3-axis and 5-axis machines, interpret drawings, and manage setups and tooling for aerospace components in California.

You will work on carbon fiber and composite parts, optimize speeds and feeds, and keep precise records in a fast-paced shop environment. Salary ranges from $35–$50 per hour, with base pay dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Above average knowledge of 3-axis CNC milling, with exposure to 5-axis machining.
• Familiarity with feeds/speeds/tooling types for different materials.
• Experience cutting carbon fiber composites and fiberglass composites.
• Willing to work on a small team.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC router (3-axis, 4th-axis, 5-axis).
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform setups, adjust tooling, and generate offset/first article parts.
• Saw cut material, deburr parts, and maintain records.
• Select tooling and optimize speeds/feeds for efficiency.
• Maintain a clean shop and organized documentation.
