Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking an Aerospace Production Technician - CNC Machinist to set up and run large 3 to 5 axis CNC VTL and Gantry Milling machines. You will produce high-quality rings, forgings, and plates per blueprints while maintaining tolerances and finishes.

The role requires 6+ years of machining experience, with strong knowledge of CNC programming, measuring tools, and speeds/feeds. Training on first shift is provided; weekends/overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of related machining experience.
• Experience with 3 to 5 axis machining/turning.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate large 3 to 5 axis CNC VTL and Gantry Milling machines for precision aluminum rings, forgings, and stainless steel parts.
• Set-up tooling fixtures, indicate in parts, select cutting tools and load programs; inspect and deburr.
• Validate CNC programs and maintain blueprint tolerances; meet specified finishes.
• Maintain machining schedules and assist with shift metrics; support alternate shifts and OT when needed.
