Job summary

Setnix is seeking a CNC Operator to support our Machine Shop operations. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to machine and repair precision aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and established CNC programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machinery, working with tight tolerances, and using precision measuring equipment.

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Basic understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Basic understanding of machining processes and shop mathematics.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other CNC equipment.
Load and run approved CNC programs according to job requirements.
Install and position tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
Machine and repair aerospace components, including APU and Main Engine components.
Monitor operations and adjust to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specs.
Perform in-process dimensional checks with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Verify parts meet dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
Identify and report issues; complete production documentation.
Maintain machines, tooling, and workspace; follow safety procedures.
