ETS is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator for in-person, full-time work in Vermont. Training on first shift for 6–12 weeks, then transition to second shift. The role requires reading drawings, GD&T, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision aerospace parts per specs.

You will perform first article inspections, verify offsets, and maintain tight tolerances in a quality-focused environment with AS9100 standards. Weekly pay and on-demand wages are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Experience working with tight tolerances (±.0005 or better preferred)
• Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic computer skills for CNC controls and production documentation

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision aerospace parts per engineering drawings and specifications
• Load programs, verify offsets, tooling, and machine parameters prior to production runs
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.)
• Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish
• Identify and correct tooling issues, machine alarms, and part discrepancies
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100 or equivalent)
• Accurately complete job travelers, inspection records, and production documentation
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality, engineering, and team members regarding production status or issues
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
