Barnes Aerospace in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12:00am). You will set up and operate CNC machines on aerospace forgings, read dimensional drawings, and ensure close tolerances to customer prints.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience, GD&T knowledge, and strong communication skills. Benefits include competitive pay, shift differentials, and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setup and operation on aerospace-grade parts.
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments and gauges for setups.
• Ability to run multiple machines simultaneously.
• Understand basic machining principles and GD&T.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret drawings, setup sheets and manufacturing instructions.
• Operate various CNC production machines to forge parts in stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, etc.
• Set up with minimal supervision and load/unload parts using hoists as needed.
• Apply coolant, change worn tools, and check dimensions with precision instruments.
• Maintain quality and safety standards and perform in-process checks.
• Assist with other tasks as needed and support continuous improvement.
