Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY seeks a skilled Lathe Machinist II to produce high-precision, flight-critical components using CNC lathes with milling capabilities. The role requires close tolerances, fine finishes, and interpretation of complex drawings including GD&T.

You will perform set-ups, inspect parts, and ensure quality while adhering to FAA safety regulations. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered, and FAA Drug & Alcohol Program enrollment is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist with lathe and mill capabilities.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of G-Code preferred.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls a plus.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program enrollment is required due to Safety Sensitive Work.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Inspect all work, set up or adjust gauging, detect unusual conditions, and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
