Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division in Irvine, CA is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector on 2nd shift to verify aerospace component parts and assemblies using CMMs and traditional inspection tools. You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and AS9102 requirements to determine inspection methods.

The role requires 1+ year in quality inspection with CMM experience; relocation not offered; benefits begin day one, including medical, dental, 401k with match, PTO, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AS9102 knowledge preferred.
• Minimum 1 year quality inspection experience; 2+ years in a CMM environment preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections with CMM and traditional tools.
• Review paperwork and generate inspection reports such as FAIRs.
• Verify calibration and setup of CMM and metrology equipment.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and AS9102 requirements to determine inspection methods.
• Maintain accurate quality records and nonconforming documentation.
