Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division seeks a Quality Inspector II on 1st shift at our Camarillo, CA facility. The role focuses on visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical inspections to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.

The position requires reading complex drawings, maintaining strict documentation, and supporting AS9100 QMS practices. Day 1 benefits and a structured training path are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of City of Industry will be considered for this position.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the ITAR. All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve inspection/test data.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
• Support AS9100 requirements through the QMS by supporting Quality Best Practices
• Inspect, evaluate, and formally accept parts, materials, and assemblies in accordance with drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
• Review and approve inspection and test data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Read, interpret, and apply drawings, specifications, and technical procedures, including dimensions, tolerances, notes, and workmanship criteria.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and approved methods.
• Document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and coordinate with responsible departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain traceability and ensure all inspection records, certifications, and acceptance documentation are complete and controlled by company procedures.
• Maintenance of inspection records in accordance with company procedures
• Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process
• Other duties as assigned.
