Job summary

Reich Tool & Design, a family-owned machine shop serving aerospace, defense, medical, and advanced manufacturing, seeks a CMM programmer/operator. You will program the Zeiss CMM using Calypso and operate inspection equipment to verify first article, in-process, and final parts.

Ideal candidates have formal Zeiss Calypso training, experience with Faro arms and vision systems, and a solid understanding of GD&T and blueprints. Overtime and a team-focused culture are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Zeiss CMM programming using Calypso to support first piece, in-process, and final inspection.
• Operate and maintain Zeiss CMM, Faro arm, vision system, and related equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze blueprints and GD&T to develop inspection requirements and programs.
• Prepare records including AS9102 forms and COC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program the Zeiss CMM using Calypso to support first piece, in-process, and final inspection requirements.
• Operate and maintain the Zeiss CMM, Faro arm, vision system, and optical comparators with accuracy.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and rework.
• Inspect first piece, in-process, purchased parts, incoming materials, and finished products.
• Verify conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gages and related tools.
• Document inspection results, AS9102 forms, and Certificates of Conformance.
• Assist in calibration and upkeep of inspection gauges and equipment.
• Train others on CMM programming and operation to build coverage.
• Support process improvements and lean initiatives.
