Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Dimensional Inspector (CMM Programmer) to perform precision inspections of flight hardware, using CMMs and Romer arms, and to travel up to 20% to supplier sites.

You will develop inspection plans, verify certifications, and support continuous improvement with internal and supplier teams; PC-DMIS and Verisurf experience preferred; AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience.
• 3+ years of CMM programming/operations or Faro Arm experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Travel to supplier sites up to 10–20% to perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Select and use standard gauges to ensure quality and inspect tolerances.
• Inspect complex purchased parts, assemblies, and materials.
• Review documentation and verify certifications, specifications, and conformance to design.
