Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dimensional Inspector in Supply Chain (Starship) to perform complex inspections on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials using CMMs, Romer Arms, and precision gauges. You will verify conformance to drawings, purchase orders, and SpaceX specifications.

The role requires 3+ years in precision mechanical inspection and 3+ years programming and running CMMs or Faro Arm, with strong GD&T and metrology skills.

Qualifications

• Inspect mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials to drawings and specs.
• Review certifications, specifications and conformance to design requirements.
• Read and interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T and use metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Select and use standard gauges to verify quality and tooling accuracy.
• Inspect flight hardware at supplier per drawings and SpaceX specs.
• Program and set up CMMs or Romer Arm for inspections.
• Support development of supplier inspection plans and documentation review.
