Job summary

GAL AeroStaff Ltd. seeks an experienced CMM Inspector for aerospace manufacturing in Park City, UT. You will inspect aerospace components, read drawings, apply GD&T, and program CMM equipment to ensure conformance to customer specs and quality standards.

The role emphasizes precision metrology, documentation, and collaboration with QA, engineering, and production teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years aerospace QA/inspection experience.
• Experience reading aerospace blueprints required.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments required.
• Experience operating or programming CMM equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines and other precision inspection equipment.
• Inspect purchased and internally manufactured aerospace components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, digital models, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and optical inspections.
• Determine product acceptance or rejection based on applicable requirements.
• Document inspection results and complete required quality records.
• Prepare nonconformance and rejection documentation as required.
• Program CMM equipment for accurate and repeatable inspections.
• Perform final inspections on components prior to shipment.
• Support Designated Supplier Quality Representative activities when qualified.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
