Job summary

RTX in Bridgeport, CT, seeks a Chief Inspector to lead the inspection department and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and AS9100 standards. The role involves directing inspection methods, coordinating audits, and maintaining regulatory documentation on-site at the Midway Park site.

The candidate will oversee QA activities, analyze risk, and drive continuous improvements while leading RCCA investigations and maintaining KPIs within the PWES framework.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 8+ years inspection experience in FAA-compliant environments.
• Valid A&P license is required.
• Experience with inspection/measurement equipment and regulatory standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee inspection standards and procedures per FAA, ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9100/AS9110 requirements.
• Provide oversight of PWES and MRT inspection processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Create, update and maintain regulatory documentation.
• Conduct risk and opportunity assessments.
• Ensure deployment of Safety Management System for PWES compliance.
• Lead RCCA investigations.
• Maintain quality metrics and KPIs.
