The Boeing Company invites PhD students to join its Graduate Researcher Program in Aerodynamics Engineering internship in Huntington Beach, CA, for Summer 2027. The role focuses on developing and applying advanced aerodynamic analysis tools and CFD capabilities, with opportunities to work with Seattle and St.

Louis teams. You will engage in real-world industry challenges, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to Boeing’s aerospace research while meeting a mutual fit for a future full-time

Formación

• Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2027.
• Pursuing a PhD in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (with emphasis on Fluid Dynamics)
• Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027
• Able to perform CFD applications and code developments
• Strong communication skills and able to work with a team or individually as required.
• Capable of analyzing aerodynamic flow-field and extracting engineering data
• Background in scientific programming and code development (C, FORTRAN, and/or C++)

Responsabilidades

• Development of aerodynamic analysis tools and optimization processes to increase fidelity while reducing cycle time and cost.
• Collaborate with CFD developer partners in Seattle and St. Louis to develop CFD prediction capability for laminar-turbulent transition.
