Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Product Engineer for aerospace manufacturing to drive NPI, process improvement, and tooling development.

You will collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Quality to optimize casting processes and ensure design intent is met with robust manufacturing methods. The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, GD&T, and the ability to communicate technical information to customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science required or preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Product Engineering role within metal casting or aerospace.
• GD&T certification preferred.
• CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal & presentation communications skills.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Data-driven problem solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review, direct, and approve pattern designs to ensure dimensional control and efficient manufacturing.
• Review, direct, and approve constituents to meet metallurgical properties (gating, heat treatment, sand mold attributes).
• Identify and improve process yields using data analysis techniques (statistical, DOE, 6 Sigma, etc.).
• Support Sales and Quality in communicating casting design specs and manufacturing methods to customers.
• Provide technical support to Production Supervisors for casting manufacture.
• Collaborate in a team environment to achieve company goals.
• Audit production lots to ensure repeatability of results.
