Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Calibration Technician I to calibrate, verify, and maintain instrumentation to meet ISO/ANSI standards. You will work in the Quality team and support calibration software and records.

The role requires 3 years calibration experience, blueprints reading, and MS Office skills; HS diploma and a trade certification preferred. This full-time on-site position offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • 3 years calibration systems experience (ISO 10012/ANSI Z540)
  • 3 years proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 years reading blueprints and aerospace specifications
  • Preferred experience with manufacturing preventative maintenance systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents

Responsibilities

  • Has responsibility and authorization to perform roles and duties related to the job function.

  • Participate in company activities and challenges

  • Quality Department collaboration to achieve results.
  • Work as a team
  • Fulfill the purpose of the calibration of devices recall system
  • Interact with operators and supervisors to retrieve devices
  • Ensure devices are available for operational demands
  • Navigate calibration software
  • Complete and retain records to meet quality system requirements
  • Create purchase orders
  • Bag and/or package devices to prevent damage during shipping and handling
  • Complete receipt of purchase orders
  • Verify/calibrate devices for fitness of purpose
  • Follow calibration methods
  • Ensure standard traceability
  • Verify or resetting tamper seals or safeguards.
  • Create and/or modify device information within calibration software
  • Ensure customer-supplied equipment/devices are controlled and maintained.
  • Process job order traveler per procedures and policies
  • Assist with elementary inspections in the Quality Department
  • Report metrics and current affairs of Calibration activities to upper-level management
  • Assist auditors in retrieving quality records
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Customer Service, Engineering, and Planning
