Job summary

GE Aerospace's Terre Haute facility is seeking a CAD Technician to create, revise, and maintain detailed drawings for aerospace components. The role requires reading engineering drawings, applying drafting standards, and ensuring strict document control in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Follow all safety and EHS policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience using CAD software to create, revise, and maintain technical drawings.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of drafting principles, revision control, and document management processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
• Cooperative in meeting schedules and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Gather prints and information from Document Control.
• Revise and recreate existing drawings using current forms and standards.
• Add balloon numbers to customer blueprints for check sheet correlation.
• Assist with the coordination of drawing requests.
• Create and maintain master drawings.
• Verify accuracy of drawings and documentation.
• Review blueprints for revisions and communicate revisions to engineers.
• Modify CAD files with supporting documentation.
• Create complex details and large mechanical assembly drawings.
• Model 3-D drawings of components and assemblies.
• Perform essential CAD technician duties with minimal supervision.
