Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI is seeking a CAD Engineer to join the Casting Layout Department and Engineering teams. The role focuses on process improvements, customer qualification activities, and tooling design.

You will perform First Article inspections, prepare detailed reports, support tooling development, and collaborate with engineering and quality to deliver quotes and customer packages. A collaborative, self-motivated mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of three years of CAD related experience.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer First Article inspection packages using metrology tools (structured light, GOM, CMM).
• Prepare and complete customer reports with detailed inspection data.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality on customer approval packages and quotes.
• Provide technical support to engineers and other departments for tooling development and process improvements.
• Work in a team environment and be self-motivated.
