Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Designer II in Edwards, CA to develop mechanical and electronic designs and prepare detailed drawings for aerospace components. You will create complex PCB layouts, schematics, and BOMs, while performing basic calculations and 3-D modeling under supervision.

You may also provide guidance to junior designers and help maintain department standards. Candidates should have a two-year technical degree with six years of design experience or a bachelor’s degree, be proficient with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2-year degree plus 6 years design experience required.
• Experience with CAD and drafting standards.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Knowledge of BOMs and installation records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare semi-complex electronic and/or mechanical designs and drawings.
• Create PCB layouts, schematics, and component configurations.
• Research parts and prepare BOMs.
• Provide reverse engineering of aerospace parts.
• Create 3-D models and perform basic engineering calculations.
• Prepare work packages and department standards.
• May supervise lower-level staff.
