Job summary

JT4, LLC is hiring a Designer II to prepare mechanical and electronic designs and drawings for aerospace components. You will create PCB layouts, schematics, and packaging while performing basic calculations and 3-D modeling, and you will update and maintain design documentation and BOMs.

The role requires familiarity with CAD standards, ability to work with engineers and technicians, and the capability to obtain/maintain security clearance as a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD software for creating/revising drawings.
• Ability to update floor plans and equipment layouts.
• Ability to revise electrical/mechanical/infrastructure diagrams from markups.
• Maintain as-built drawings after installations/modifications.
• Incorporate approved changes into existing drawings.
• Experience maintaining equipment lists, BOMs, and installation docs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare semi-complex electronic and/or mechanical designs and drawings including PCB layouts, schematics, and packaging.
• Conduct searches for parts and prepare BOMs.
• Provide reverse engineering of aerospace parts and RF sub-assemblies.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and create 3-D models.
• Prepare supporting documentation for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Research technical publications related to processes and materials.
• Work with CAD/EDA tools to create designs and routing.
• Develop work packages and contribute to standards.
• May provide direction to junior staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
