Job summary

RTX in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico seeks a Mechanical Engineering co-op student for a hybrid role January–June. You will work with engineering and technology teams to support design data checks, tolerancing, and documentation, gaining hands-on exposure to industry-leading tools.

The position requires a High School diploma and current pursuit of a Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical Engineering; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required to access information.
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles; familiarity with ASME standards; exposure to PDM systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform design database and documentation checking for new design and drawing release or revisions to existing design and drawings.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing, tolerancing, and producibility during the design process to ensure cost-effective designs.
• Assist engineering in determining specifications for materials, finishes and processes during design.
• Prepare hardware design documentation in accordance with standards and change requirements.
• Enter data into the company documentation control system.
• Support CAD tool testing and debugging as needed.
