Job summary

RTX in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, invites a Mechanical Engineering student to join our design and engineering team in a hybrid role. You will contribute to design documentation, tolerancing, and manufacturability during the design process, and support hardware documentation releases.

You will collaborate with engineers to specify materials and finishes, validate change data, and assist with CAD tools and documentation control.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Perform design database and documentation checking for new design and drawing release or revisions to existing design and drawings.
Apply tolerancing and manufacturability considerations during the design process for cost-effective designs.
Assist engineering in specifying materials, finishes, and processes during design.
Apply company and industry standards during hardware design preparation.
Prepare hardware design documentation for release.
Enter data into the company documentation control system.
Support CAD tool testing and debugging as needed.
Validate change definition artifacts for revisions to design and drawings.
Validate revision capture definitions in accordance with change requirements.
Provide design database and documentation checks for new designs and releases.
Communicate in English with customers and coworkers.
