Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Bench Technician to support aviation repair and maintenance operations. You will set up and operate hand tools, read blueprints, inspect parts, and verify measurements to ensure conformance with specifications.

The role includes cross training and working in a fast-paced shop environment, with opportunities for skill endorsements and a 4-day workweek on many shop positions. Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for ~25% of the day.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of hand tools to perform multiple operations.
• Read specifications, blueprints, and layouts for tooling instructions and dimensions.
• Fit and assemble machined metal parts and sub-assemblies.
• Align components for assembly and fasten with fasteners.
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect quality of run work and ensure conformance to specs.
• Set up and operate test equipment and participate in process improvements.
• Cross-train in other skills to support production requirements.
• Adhere to safety requirements and report unsafe conditions.
