Job summary

Actalent in Bothell, WA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and support automated aerospace systems. You will work across the full project lifecycle, configuring control software and integrating with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks in a Windows environment.

The role requires hands-on Siemens and Allen Bradley experience, strong debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years programming experience in C, C++, and C#, on Windows.
• Hands‑on Siemens scripting and PLC programming (TIA‑STEP 7) or equivalents, with WinCC options.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full software development lifecycle for large-scale aerospace automation systems.
• Develop and configure control software using Siemens and Allen Bradley tools.
• Program automation systems using PLC and HMI platforms.
• Configure industrial networks (TCP/IP, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP) for robust communication.
• Develop C, C++, and C# applications for Windows environments.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical design and project management teams.
