Job summary

Bascom Hunter is seeking an Engineering Technician / Assembly Intern to assist with the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace and defense products. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, using tools, and following engineering drawings for mechanical and electrical assemblies.

The intern will support prototype builds, product testing, and documentation while collaborating with engineers across multiple programs.

Qualifications

Pursuing a technical degree, certificate, or related education in engineering technology or similar field.
Strong interest in hands-on mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical work.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly of components and systems.
Assemble products using engineering drawings and schematics.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment safely.
Install mechanical hardware, wiring, connectors, and related components.
Support prototype builds, testing, and product integration.
Document assembly activities and test results.
Maintain organized work areas and follow procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support projects.
