Bascom Hunter seeks an Engineering Technician/ Assembly Intern to support the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace and defense products. You will work hands-on with hardware, tools, and documentation to bring components from parts to tested systems.

This paid internship offers exposure to prototype builds, testing, and collaboration with engineers. Summer interns typically work full-time, with some part-time work during the academic year based on needs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree or related education in engineering technology, electronics, manufacturing, mechanical technology, or related field.
• Strong interest in hands-on mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical work.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, and systems.
• Assemble products and prototypes using engineering drawings and schematics.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment safely and effectively.
• Install and assemble mechanical hardware, electronic components, wiring, connectors, and fasteners.
• Assist engineers and technicians with prototype builds and product integration.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of assemblies.
