Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines, is seeking an aerospace mechanic to assemble engine components, follow engineering drawings, and support test operations. You will use precision tools and fixtures to build subassemblies for gas turbine engines and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with project teams to enable successful engine programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with A&P license or equivalent.
• Or 4 years of technical high school plus 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
• Experience as aerospace mechanic or A&P preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly drawings and specifications to prepare parts and build subassemblies for gas turbine engines.
• Overhaul engines, modules and related components per procedures and specs.
• Obtain parts, verify conformance to requirements, and ensure dimensions are within limits.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble engine sections and maintain tooling.
• Support test operations and assist with testing under supervision.
• Assist with co-producer, customer support, retrofit projects and new engine programs.
