Job summary

GE Aerospace Dayton site is hiring an Assembly Technician to build and service industrial subcomponents. You will use pneumatic and hand tools, follow routers and procedures, perform tear-downs of Industrial Starters, and apply paint to equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand 6–8 hours, and pass safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 6 months manufacturing experience.
• Able to read and understand specifications and part numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial subcomponents using pneumatic and hand tools.
• Review routers, procedures, and specifications to perform operations.
• Tear down of Industrial Starters.
• Apply paint to industrial equipment.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately.
• Produce error-free products through in-process inspections.
• Meet production goals.
• Work in different focus areas depending on assembly demand.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines.
• Work under general direction in a team environment.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the cell (5S).
