Job summary

GE Aerospace Strother Facility is seeking workers to assemble and disassemble engines, components, and accessories per technical standards. You will perform comprehensive examinations and repairs of hardware for return to service and airworthiness certification.

Requirements include a high school diploma, experience with precision tools, and an Airframe & Powerplant License or 5+ years of related engine experience. 2nd shift availability is required with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, hand/power tools, and shop equipment.
• Airframe and Powerplant License or 5+ years in related engine work (diesel, automotive, aircraft, or military).
• Ability to work 2nd shift 3:30pm–11:30pm Mon–Fri; overtime and weekends possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine overhaul/maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate routing and movement of assemblies, hardware, tooling, and materials.
• Troubleshoot in-process problems within technical procedures.
• Verify work complies with specifications and quality criteria.
• Maintain records and a safe, cost-conscious work environment.
