Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. in North Carolina seeks an Assembly Specialist Manufacturing Manager to lead and coordinate manufacturing activities on the S15 Assembly Line. You will oversee tools, jigs, and station calibration while acting as deputy for the Business Unit Leader in their absence.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher required with leadership experience.
• Experience in aviation manufacturing preferred and knowledge of Quality/Logistics rules.
• Proficiency with SAP and MES or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight to production activities and monitor the progress of the A/C through the Station
• Function as a role model and leader in the observance of OSHA rules and regulations
• Provide leadership to the Multi-Functional team in the absence of the Business Unit Leader (PLM)
• Coordinate and communicate Station activities throughout the line, the management team, and relevant parties
• Ensure orders and (work) material availability to guarantee work progress
• Support implementation of AOS improvement activities
• Master all elements of the Performance Management Center including PPC, SQCDP boards, and Daily Quality Gate
• Support action plans to improve AOS grade for their assigned area
• Mentor and develop the Lead Technicians in all facets of Leadership, and production processes
• Provide documented development plans to the workforce for career progression (Poly-Poly)
• Provide input to the training department for needs and requirements for personnel development
• Manage corrective actions with employees as appropriate
• As needed be involved in the Crisis Management Team and if needed lead the team
• On 2nd shift and off shift working times must act as an escalation point
• On 2nd shift and off shift working times provide support to the workforce in regards to emergencies
